My brother brought it back from Africa and told me, “They said they were docile unless riled and I thought of you.”

Karen Halbrook founded The Halbrook Law Firm in 2007 to help small and large companies and their insurers navigate difficult discrimination, civil rights, and employment lawsuits, as well as premises and product liability claims. In October of 2025, she retired from a long career that was driven by her passion to provide each of her clients with excellent service while achieving the best result possible.

For more than 35 years, Karen tried jury trials in the state and federal courts of Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, Iowa, and Illinois. She was thrilled each time a client placed their trust in her and the attorneys she developed and worked alongside.
